A prospective crossover trial of lumbricus rubellus was performed in patients wit chronic renal insufficiency. Twenty-one patients were treated with lumbricus rubellus for one year and the change of serum creatinine was compared to that of
control
period. Slopes of regression lines for reciprocal serum creatinine values were not different between lumbricus rubellus treatment period and control period. These data suggest that lumbricus rebellus have on beneficial effect on renal function in
chronic renal insufficience.
